Jennie from the group BLACKPINK has graced the cover of the American music magazine Billboard.
On the 9th (local time), Billboard released an article titled “'A Battle with Myself': Jennie’s In-Depth Reflection on Producing Her Solo Album” on their official website, unveiling Jennie's photoshoot images and interview for the January issue of Billboard magazine.
Billboard spotlighted Jennie, stating, “While the world knows BLACKPINK's Jennie, her true self will be revealed through her upcoming (solo) debut album.”
Jennie shared, “I started listing the things I want in my life and began to figure out what the next steps are or prioritize them. It immediately hit me that I hadn’t yet fulfilled my dream of releasing a solo album. I wanted to achieve that goal to feel satisfied with myself,” as she candidly discussed the process of establishing ODDATELIER and partnering with Columbia Records.
Jennie also expressed, “I want to complete myself as Jennie Ruby Jane,” adding, “Once the album is out, you will definitely understand what I mean, but I’ve prepared the overall sound in a way that I love all the songs, as I play with various genres and elements, rapping here, singing there, harmonizing, and telling stories.”
More of Jennie's photos and interview can be found on the Billboard website.
