Singer Jung Dong-won has spread a positive influence through a warm donation in the new year.
According to the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation (Chairman Lee Seong-hee) on the 10th, Jung Dong-won donated 700,000 KRW from the prize money of the Good Star King of Kings competition in December to support the treatment costs of children suffering from childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases.
Good Star is a donation platform service that supports the positive influence of stars. It operates by allowing users to watch videos and songs of participating singers in the King of Kings competition within the app, encouraging them through missions, and donating prize money based on rankings. Through this, a total donation amount of 45,570,000 KRW has been achieved.
The prize money donated in Jung Dong-won's name will be used for the treatment costs of children suffering from childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases.
The Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation's support program for surgical and hospital treatment costs provides support ranging from a minimum of 5 million KRW to a maximum of 30 million KRW for patients under 25 years old who have been diagnosed with childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases before the age of 19. This support is used for surgical costs, hospital treatment costs, transplant costs, the purchase of rare medicines, and hospital assistive devices.
