The National Petition Office responded to the report of illegal stay regarding NewJeans' Hani.
The Immigration Investigation Division of the Ministry of Justice's Seoul Immigration Office stated on the 10th regarding the report of Hani's illegal stay, "We plan to take appropriate action as soon as the employment relationship between the parties is resolved."
Previously, an anonymous citizen reported Hani, who holds dual citizenship in Australia and Vietnam, as an illegal resident through the National Petition Office. Hani had been issued a visa under her contract with Ador, but she announced the termination of her exclusive contract with Ador effective from the 29th during a press conference last November.
Among the five members, Danielle has dual citizenship in Korea and Australia, so there are no issues, but Hani, with dual citizenship in Australia and Vietnam, must renew her visa every year.
