'Ballunteer' is a portmanteau of BALL (soccer ball) + VOLUNTEER (volunteer). It covers the futsal challenges of the Taeguk Warriors, who dream of making a social contribution through soccer.
Legendary players form a team to compete against top futsal teams nationwide, with the aim of donating to pediatric cancer patients through this public interest entertainment program.
Based on 10 episodes uploaded every Friday from October to recently, a total of 11 million won in donations has been raised, which has been donated to the National Cancer Center.
Previously only available on YouTube, 'Ballunteer' will reach a wider audience through KBS terrestrial broadcasting during the Lunar New Year holiday in January.
Since 2022, Lee Chan-won has showcased his extensive sports knowledge by serving as a special commentator for charity baseball tournaments.
