According to big data analysis results for girl group brand reputation in January 2025, BLACKPINK ranked first, followed by aespa in second place and IVE in third place.

The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 63,644,284 brand big data collected from December 12, 2024, to January 12, 2025, to measure the brand reputation index of girl groups based on participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. This is a 2.72% increase compared to the 61,959,273 girl group brand big data from last December.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis, revealing that consumers' online habits significantly influence brand consumption. The girl group brand reputation index can measure positive and negative evaluations of girl groups, media interest, and the level of consumer interest and communication. Channel analysis of brand reputation monitoring was also included.

The ranking of girl group brand reputation for January 2025 is as follows: BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, (G)I-DLE, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, OH MY GIRL, Red Velvet, BABYMONSTER, NMIXX, Apink, IZ*ONE, STAYC, HIGHKEY, ILY:1, MAMAMOO, Fifty Fifty, Dreamcatcher, WJSN, Girl's Day, tripleS, ITZY, Kep1er, Signature, KISS OF LIFE, CAT'S EYE, VIVIZ, LOONA, woo!ah!, CANDY SHOP.

BLACKPINK, which ranked first in girl group brand reputation (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), had a participation index of 112,880, media index of 878,799, communication index of 3,276,037, and community index of 5,894,617, resulting in a brand reputation index of 10,162,333. This is a 24.33% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 13,429,372 from last December.

In 2nd place, aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning) had a participation index of 182,172, media index of 617,316, communication index of 2,673,023, and community index of 2,928,124, resulting in a brand reputation index of 6,400,635. This is a 39.90% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 4,575,070 from last December.

In 3rd place, IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) had a participation index of 164,220, media index of 587,674, communication index of 2,376,111, and community index of 2,620,654, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,748,658. This is a 47.43% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,899,143 from last December.

In 4th place, (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) had a participation index of 54,536, media index of 576,203, communication index of 1,758,571, and community index of 2,219,212, resulting in a brand reputation index of 4,608,522. This is a 91.04% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,412,289 from last December.

In 5th place, TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu) had a participation index of 115,872, media index of 902,589, communication index of 1,028,412, and community index of 1,968,158, resulting in a brand reputation index of 4,015,031. This is a 33.67% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,003,669 from last December.

Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute Director Koo Chang-hwan stated, “According to the brand big data analysis results for girl group brand reputation in January 2025, BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) ranked first. Analyzing the girl group brand category, there was a 2.72% increase compared to the 61,959,273 girl group brand big data from last December. A detailed analysis shows a 17.50% decrease in brand consumption, an 11.16% decrease in brand issues, a 0.24% decrease in brand communication, and a 12.89% increase in brand spread.”

He continued, “In the link analysis of the BLACKPINK brand, terms like ‘all kill, record, breakthrough’ were prominent, and in the keyword analysis, ‘Rosé, apartment, Billboard’ were highly ranked. The positive-negative ratio analysis of the BLACKPINK brand showed a positive ratio of 92.89%.”
