Lim Ji-yeon has finally faced her former mistress Ha Yu-ri.
In the 12th episode of JTBC's weekend drama ‘The Tale of Lady Ok’ (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyuk and Choi Bo-yoon, produced by SLL and Corpus Korea), the story unfolded of Ok Tae-young (played by Lim Ji-yeon) and Cheon Seung-hwi (played by Choo Young-woo) facing an unexpected crisis during the happiest moments of their lives. The viewership ratings were 10.2% in the metropolitan area and 9.2% nationwide, with a peak rating of 11.1% in the metropolitan area and a target rating of 3.3% for the 2049 demographic (based on Nielsen Korea's paid households).
Ok Tae-young, who thought Cheon Seung-hwi had left home, ran to him barefoot and confirmed their feelings for each other before returning home. However, while the two were happily reconciling, a storm was brewing throughout the house. The younger couple, Seong Do-gyeom (played by Kim Jae-won) and Cha Mi-ryeong (played by Yeon-woo), along with the household members Mak-sim (played by Kim Jae-hwa) and Dok-ki (played by Oh Dae-hwan), were arguing with each other.
Seong Do-gyeom and Cha Mi-ryeong, who had misunderstood each other's feelings, eventually realized their true intentions after their quarrel. Later, as Seong Do-gyeom was assigned to Hongmun-gwan, the two left for Hanyang together. Additionally, Dok-ki, who had clumsily expressed his feelings to Mak-sim, ended up causing resentment, but with Cheon Seung-hwi's special training, he transformed and brought laughter.
Moreover, Cheon Seung-hwi achieved the top score in the provincial examination, bringing honor to the Seong family. Despite the unexpected exam topics, he recalled the things his wife Ok Tae-young had done and wrote down his answers, which led him to success. Furthermore, due to Cheon Seung-hwi's past wish to pass the exam, Mak-sim and Dok-ki ended up getting married. Amid the warm smiles of the family, the love between Ok Tae-young and Cheon Seung-hwi deepened.
Just when they were enjoying their happy days, a dark shadow loomed over them again. As more people fell victim to fraud due to Cheongsu-hyeon and Mansusam, requests regarding the incident began to flood into Ok Tae-young's office.
This was a measure proposed by the newly appointed governor as a crisis response for Cheongsu-hyeon. Although Yu Hyang-soo (played by Yoon Hee-seok), who had a bad feeling about it, did not accept it, his wife, Lady Hong (played by Jeong Soo-young), fell for the governor's persuasion, escalating the situation. As the whole town buzzed with the fraud, Ok Tae-young also went to the government office to ascertain the truth of the incident.
However, Ok Tae-young not only discovered the new governor, her former master Kim Nak-soo (played by Lee Seo-hwan), but also found herself in shock when she came face to face with Lady So-hye (played by Ha Yu-ri). Despite the long years that had passed, Kim So-hye recognized her former maid Gu-deok at a glance and blocked her path, saying, “It’s really nice to see you, Gu-deok.” The curiosity about how Ok Tae-young will escape this life-threatening crisis is growing for the next story.
