Rapper Yoon Byung-ho (24, stage name Buri Da Bastard), who was on trial for drug use, was caught using drugs again in a detention center and had his suspended sentence confirmed after appealing the first trial verdict, which was dismissed.

According to the legal community on the 18th, the 3rd Criminal Appeal Division of the Suwon District Court (Chief Judge Jang Jun-hyun) dismissed Yoon Byung-ho's appeal regarding the violation of the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances), citing reasons of factual misapprehension, legal misunderstanding, and inappropriate sentencing, thereby upholding the original ruling.

The first trial sentenced Yoon Byung-ho to 8 months in prison with a 2-year suspended sentence.

The court stated, “Considering the circumstances recognized by the original ruling based on the evidence lawfully adopted and examined, it is acknowledged that the defendant used drugs through the so-called ‘cooking’ method while incarcerated in the Incheon Detention Center.”

Yoon Byung-ho, who gained fame by participating in Mnet's high school hip-hop audition ‘High School Rapper 2’ in 2018, was indicted for using psychotropic drugs containing diazepam, lorazepam, and zolpidem through unknown methods from August 17 to 26, 2022, in the Incheon Detention Center. He is currently serving a 7-year prison sentence confirmed in 2023 for another drug use case.
