Singer Kim Soo-chan mentioned family issues.
On the 21st, MBN's ‘Current King of Masked Singer 2’ aired the second round of the third match, titled ‘Flip the Script’.
In an interview with the production team before his performance, Kim Soo-chan stated, “The biggest reason I came on ‘Current King of Masked Singer 2’ is that it will be a significant stepping stone on my path to becoming a long-loved singer, Kim Soo-chan. Honestly, it was this one thing that motivated me to take on the challenge.”
A scene was revealed where Kim Soo-chan was talking with his manager at the dormitory. The manager said, “Some people have said that Kim Soo-chan brought up family issues to appear on ‘Current King of Masked Singer 2’.” To this, Kim Soo-chan replied, “Who would open up about such shameful family matters?” and added, “I didn’t want to participate because of that.”
Choosing the song ‘Kongjjak Life’, Kim Soo-chan explained, “In life, there are ups and downs. I have also faced difficult times and many twists and turns. I want to sing this with the hope that good days will come in due time.”
On this day, Kim Soo-chan received a score of 296 out of 360 from the celebrity judging panel.
Previously, Kim Soo-chan's mother appeared on KBS Joy’s ‘Ask Anything’ last year and shared that “my ex-husband is trying to block my son’s path as a singer.”
