Mixed martial artist and broadcaster Choo Sung-hoon has shaved his head for the first time in 30 years.
On the 28th, a video titled ‘A Middle-aged Man Rejuvenated to His K-1 Glory Days’ was posted on Choo Sung-hoon's YouTube channel.
In the video, Choo Sung-hoon decided to shave his head after losing a beauty contest against Kim Dong-hyun. He went to a hair salon with his daughter, Sarang, and asked her, “You have to do the shaving, Sarang. What do you think? Doesn’t it sound fun?” to which Sarang replied with a smile, “Yes.”
After that, Sarang confidently shaved her dad's head with the hairdressing tools. Choo Sung-hoon said, “I don’t feel bad since my daughter is doing it,” and added, “I shaved my head when I was 18 in high school, so it’s been 30 years. I’m shaving my head after 30 years.”
After finishing the shave, he looked at himself in the mirror and said, “I’ve aged a lot. When I first shaved my head, I was a complete baby, but now I have wrinkles and I’ve changed a lot.” He then expressed, “Even if I shave my head, I want to do it stylishly,” and proceeded to dye his hair.
At the end of the video, upon seeing Choo Sung-hoon’s shaved head, Kim Dong-hyun joked, “I thought we agreed not to look stylish, but it seems like you’ve made it stylish,” bringing laughter to the moment.
