Choa, a former member of the group Crayon Pop, shared her recent updates as she battles cancer during the Lunar New Year holiday.

On the 28th, Choa posted on Instagram, "There are moments when I suddenly face a reality that is not like before, even though I usually laugh, chat, and get along well."

She continued, "Recently, I went through a tough time, and in the past, I would have had a drink with my husband to shake it off, but I couldn't, and I feel very disappointed about that."

Choa also expressed, "On holidays like today, when family and friends gather, I want to enjoy a drink according to the atmosphere, and I miss the things that used to be taken for granted."

She added, "I still find it hard to believe that I was diagnosed with cancer. When I face the reality I have been avoiding, the feelings I have built up tend to crumble, but I remind myself to be grateful for the everyday life I am enjoying, as it may be a precious day for someone else."

Choa shared, "These days, my dream for five years from now is to receive a complete recovery diagnosis and enjoy a drink with my husband after a tough day." She expressed hope, saying, "As it has already been almost two years, the day I receive the recovery diagnosis will come soon."

Choa debuted in 2012 with Crayon Pop. After her exclusive contract ended, she gained attention by appearing as singer No. 59 on JTBC's 'Singer Gain' in 2020. She married a businessman six years her senior in 2021 and revealed her battle with cervical cancer in October 2023.
