The parents of the five members of the group NewJeans have opened an SNS channel.

On the 31st, the parents of Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein announced the opening of the SNS account, stating, "This account is temporarily operated and was inevitably created to represent our position in the dispute with HYBE."

The parents said, "Since there was no official channel to convey our position, we have made several attempts to directly interview various media outlets or convey the facts through journalists we got to know," adding, "While there were a few media outlets that reported our statements as they were, they were very few, and although we tried to distribute through an agency, we faced many difficulties in having our position conveyed accurately through the media, as headlines were often written strangely."

The parents stated, "We have received information that HYBE and Ador are once again distributing false articles targeting the members by circulating 'gossip' to several journalists ahead of the injunction lawsuit, and we created this account to address this."

They added, "We understand that some may feel fatigued from this prolonged dispute, and we are very sorry for that. However, the content we will convey through this account will mainly be about matters that are difficult for the members to communicate directly, and we ask for your understanding that we are in a desperate situation where a communication channel is needed to correct the facts as the current sole representatives of the members."

Meanwhile, NewJeans held an emergency press conference on November 28 last year to announce their split from Ador regarding the termination of their exclusive contract. Since then, the members have continued their independent activities under their names Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein instead of the team name NewJeans.

In response, Ador filed a lawsuit in December last year to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract and in January applied for a provisional injunction against the NewJeans members to maintain their status as artists and to prohibit the signing of advertising contracts.

Hello. We are the parents of Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

This account is temporarily operated and was inevitably created to represent our position in the dispute with HYBE.

Since there was no official channel to convey our position, we have made several attempts to directly interview various media outlets or convey the facts through journalists we got to know.

Fortunately, there were a few media outlets that reported our statements as they were, but they were very few, and although we tried to distribute through an agency, we faced many difficulties in having our position conveyed accurately through the media, as headlines were often written strangely.

While the members' stories are either distorted or only distributed in a very limited number of articles, HYBE and Ador are distributing hundreds of articles a day that represent only their position or contain false information without going through the necessary fact-checking and right to reply processes that should be followed by media outlets, including various media outlets that are essentially mouthpieces for the internet.

[Regrettably, we have received information that ahead of the injunction lawsuit, HYBE and Ador are once again distributing false articles targeting the members by circulating gossip to several journalists, and we created this account to address this.]

We understand that some may feel fatigued from this prolonged dispute, and we are very sorry for that.

However, the content we will convey through this account will mainly be about matters that are difficult for the members to communicate directly, and we ask for your understanding that we are in a desperate situation where a communication channel is needed to correct the facts as the current sole representatives of the members.
