Broadcaster Byun Ki-soo has spoken out about the controversy regarding his criticism of the KBS Entertainment Awards.

On the 31st, a video titled "We invited those who are fighting instead of talking" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Content Production Studio | CONSO' as part of the content 'B-Class Hearing'.

In the video, Byun Ki-soo mentioned the controversy surrounding his criticism of the KBS Entertainment Awards. He posted a viewing certification photo from the KBS Entertainment Awards held on December 21 of last year, criticizing that "they could at least give one award to a comedian? It's an entertainment award that only takes care of singers," regarding the winners of the Rookie Award: singers Zico, Park Seo-jin, Aespa's Karina, and actor Lee Sang-woo.

In response, Byun Ki-soo stated, "I didn't exactly say that they only give awards to singers. They called it a Rookie Award, but three singers and one actor received it. A person who debuted 20 years ago received a Rookie Award. The important thing is, wouldn't it have been nice if at least one of those four was a comedian?"

He continued, "I wrote a comment in that context, and when I woke up, there was chaos. I received calls and DMs from all over the country and the world. They were asking how we would take responsibility for our singers, and I even received swearing messages," adding, "I had no intention of targeting anyone. I'm grateful for bringing back this faded entertainer."
