Broadcaster Park Soo-hong and his wife Kim Da-ye are reported to have purchased an apartment in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at the highest price.
According to the real transaction price disclosure system of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 20th, Park Soo-hong bought a 170㎡ (about 51 pyeong) apartment in the Shin Hyun-dae Apartment in Apgujeong for 7.05 billion won last November. This purchase set a new record for the reported area, surpassing the previous highest price of 6.7 billion won sold in August of last year.
Park Soo-hong completed the transfer of ownership by paying the balance on the 10th. According to the court registry, Park Soo-hong and his wife Kim Da-ye jointly own the apartment with a 50% share each. On the same day, a bank mortgage with a maximum bond amount of 3 billion won was established in Park Soo-hong's name.
Considering that the maximum bond amount is usually about 120% of the loan amount, it is estimated that he borrowed about 2.5 billion won. This suggests that he purchased the apartment with approximately 4.5 billion won of his own funds.
Apgujeong is currently divided into six apartment district special planning areas, where reconstruction is actively taking place. The Shin Hyun-dae Apartment will be reconstructed into a 70-story, 2,600-unit apartment building. It can be built up to a height of 250m with a floor area ratio of 300%.
Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye registered their marriage in 2021 and held their wedding ceremony in December of the following year. The couple planned to conceive through in vitro fertilization in March of last year and welcomed a daughter in October.
The Park Soo-hong family is currently appearing on the KBS2 parenting entertainment program 'The Return of Superman.'
