Gu Jun-yeop, a former member of the group Clon, is expected to indefinitely suspend his activities due to the grief following the sudden death of his wife, Taiwanese actress Seohuiwon (Hsu Shih-yuan).
According to a report by the Taiwan China Times on the 21st, Gu Jun-yeop will indefinitely suspend public events such as DJ shows, press conferences, and fan meetings. The timing of Gu Jun-yeop's return to Korea, while he is currently handling matters related to his wife Seohuiwon's death in Taiwan, is also undecided. Rumors that Gu Jun-yeop returned to Korea immediately after his wife's funeral were all false news.
Gu Jun-yeop, who gained immense popularity in Taiwan during his time with Clon, has been filming advertisements for medical beauty and health products locally since marrying Seohuiwon three years ago. However, he has not participated in any events since his wife Seohuiwon's death. Only the execution of advertisements that have already been filmed will continue for the time being.
Gu Jun-yeop has also expressed a desire to create an independent space where he can visit his beloved wife at any time. Initially, it was decided to hold a tree burial according to the deceased's wishes, but it is reported that the burial location will be re-determined after discussions with the family.
On the night of the 6th, Gu Jun-yeop revealed his sorrow on his SNS, stating, “On February 2, 2025, my angel returned to heaven,” and added, “Right now, I am going through a time of pain that feels as if my intestines are being torn apart, in indescribable sadness and suffering. I have no strength to say anything, nor do I want to.”
