Former flight attendant and YouTuber Kim Soo-dal has exposed the abuse of power by a famous actress in the past.
Recently, a video titled "Reasons Why Celebrities Absolutely Hate Having Koreans Next to Them / Can You Choose Your Seat on a Plane? / Airline Celebrity Stories / Ground Staff Experience" that Kim Soo-dal uploaded on YouTube has become a hot topic on social media and online communities.
In the video, Kim Soo-dal talks about an actress, referred to as A, whom he encountered during his time as a flight attendant. According to Kim Soo-dal, A requested during the check-in process, "I don't care about the seat, but please do not let a Korean sit next to me."
However, the flight was fully booked, and most of the passengers were Korean, making it difficult to accommodate her request. Despite explaining the situation, A insisted, "I don't care about that, just please do not let a Korean sit next to me. Don't you know who I am? What if a Korean sits next to me and secretly takes pictures of me while I'm sleeping or eating? Please remove the Korean next to me," making excessive demands.
In response, Kim Soo-dal informed her, "Changing seats is difficult. I can cancel your reservation," and ultimately, A used the seat that was assigned to her.
Kim Soo-dal explained, "Celebrity passengers often prefer not to have Koreans sitting next to them. This is because if some fans buy tickets on the same flight and sit next to them, the celebrities have to remain tense for a long time." He added, "They often request to have the seat next to them left empty or to be assigned an older passenger who is less likely to recognize them." He also noted, "On that day, there were no fans following A."
