YouTuber Yuuki, who has approximately 1.2 million subscribers, announced that he was accused of rape but was found not guilty.
On the 27th, Yuuki revealed on the community board of his YouTube channel "Yuuki's Story of Japan" that he was falsely accused of sexual harassment and rape by a woman (referred to as A) he met while visiting Korea last year.
He continued, "The other party took my phone while I was drunk, extracted my private and personal information, and demanded 80 million won along with someone who claimed to be a cousin. After reviewing all the CCTV footage, I was found not guilty, and I am currently in the process of filing a counter-complaint for false accusation and five other charges. However, since that day, I have been continuously threatened for over a year, and because I did not respond and continued my YouTube activities, they spread my face photo today, so I am also speaking out," he added. He emphasized, "I would like to share the details of what happened later. Everything is being resolved legally."
In addition, he released the non-prosecution decision. The police decided not to prosecute because, after reviewing the CCTV footage, there was no evidence of Yuuki harassing A, and it was confirmed that the two were casually talking immediately after the incident, indicating a lack of evidence to support the allegations.
On the same day, a female BJ A, who is active on Panda TV, claimed on social media, "He asked me to drink together, and when I did, he sexually harassed me," and added, "Yuuki was so drunk that he called my acquaintance, who witnessed him touching my chest. I never gave permission. I secured the store's CCTV footage."
She further claimed, "After that, when I suggested reaching an agreement with Yuuki, he refused and reported me as a form of retaliation." She also released photos that included Yuuki's face. After Yuuki's explanation was posted, she expressed her frustration, saying, "What does being a BJ have to do with sexual harassment? It should be investigated again for lack of evidence. There is CCTV and witnesses, so why is it not guilty? I am more curious."
Yuuki later stated, "I thought about it alone for several hours. There is no reason for me to keep mentioning an incident that has already been concluded as not guilty. I will contact my attorney tomorrow morning and proceed with additional complaints regarding their actions," indicating that he would take legal action.
He added, "As I mentioned in the live stream earlier, considering my personality, it seems difficult to continue running this channel while carrying the burden of what happened today, so I have decided to delete my channel, including my sub-account, within a few days, as I will only be active on YouTube until March."
He continued, "There are still many people who support me until today, so I will not quit YouTube, but I do not know when I will return," hinting at the possibility of a comeback.
Yuuki also stated, "For now, I want to take time to reflect on the mistakes I made regarding these incidents," but added, "Of course, I have no feelings of regret towards the other party in this case. I have been very troubled by this incident for the past year. Thank you," he said. Yuuki's channel has since been deleted.
Meanwhile, Yuuki is a YouTuber of mixed Korean-Japanese descent. He gained popularity by introducing Japanese culture, food, and places.
