It has been reported that the inheritance of Taiwanese actress Seo Hee-won (48, Hsu Shi-yuan) has been distributed to singer Gu Jun-yeop and their two children.
Taiwanese media ETtoday reported on the 3rd, "Seo Hee-won's inheritance has been passed on to her husband Gu Jun-yeop and their two children according to the law," adding, "The minor children of Seo Hee-won will have their biological father, Wang Shao-fei, handle financial matters until they turn 18."
Earlier, local media estimated Seo Hee-won's inheritance to be 600 million yuan (approximately 120 billion won). According to the Taiwanese legal community, Seo Hee-won's estate will be inherited equally, with Gu Jun-yeop and the two children each receiving one-third.
Seo Hee-won suddenly passed away on the 2nd of last month due to pneumonia accompanied by the flu while on a family trip to Japan.
After moving his wife's remains to Taiwan, Gu Jun-yeop stated on Instagram on the 6th of last month, "I would like to talk about the precious inheritance that Hee-won left behind. All of that inheritance was gathered through her hard work to protect the family she loved during her lifetime, so I plan to give all authority regarding it to my mother-in-law."
Seo Hee-won debuted in 1994 with her brother in the group 'SOS' and is also famous for being the female lead in the Taiwanese drama 'Boys Over Flowers'. In Korea, she is known as 'Taiwanese Geum Jan-di', named after the female lead in a domestic drama.
Seo Hee-won also drew attention for her movie-like love story with Gu Jun-yeop. Seo Hee-won dated Gu Jun-yeop for about two years in the late 1990s before breaking up, and later married Chinese businessman Wang Shao-fei in 2011. However, they faced a divorce in 2021, and upon hearing this news, Gu Jun-yeop reached out to Seo Hee-won, leading to their reunion. The two became a couple in 2022 after a 20-year wait, but their tragic separation came just three years later.
