Singer Lee Seung-hwan revealed a complaint he received regarding the forgery of official documents, responding with "Welcome!"

On the 3rd, Lee Seung-hwan posted a photo of the complaint on his social media, writing "Welcome to the complaint!" The complaint was filed under the name of the Maryland Legal Research Institute, accusing Lee Seung-hwan of forgery and use of official documents.

The criminal facts stated, "The accused Lee Seung-hwan committed crimes such as forging or altering official documents related to his travel records to the US on or around February 21, 2025, so please conduct a thorough investigation and impose severe punishment."

Lee Seung-hwan had previously shared that he traveled to the US for his nephew's wedding, stating, "I was not denied entry by the CIA or HTML." He made this clarification because rumors circulated that celebrities who supported President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment were reported to the CIA and banned from entering the US.

However, some YouTubers continued to claim that Lee Seung-hwan's entry into the US was false. In particular, a foreign YouTuber posted a video titled "Seung-hwan, do you want to bet with me?" claiming that "Lee Seung-hwan posted manipulated photos as if he had entered the US, despite not being able to do so."

In response to the YouTuber, Lee Seung-hwan said, "I will accept that offer," and released documents containing his entry and exit records from the US. He then raised his voice, saying, "When did I say I went to the moon? If you don't believe the entry and exit records, instead of hiding behind anonymity and making small talk, go ahead and accuse me of forgery of official documents."

Meanwhile, Lee Seung-hwan had planned to hold a concert in Gumi last December, but the city of Gumi unilaterally canceled the venue rental due to concerns about physical clashes between conservative right-wing groups and the audience. He filed a lawsuit for damages amounting to 250 million won against the mayor of Gumi and the city.

Lee Seung-hwan argued that the city of Gumi's demand for a pledge to prohibit political agitation regarding the venue rental infringed on "freedom of conscience, freedom of art, and freedom of expression," and filed a constitutional complaint in February.
