
Taiwanese popular actor Wang Dalu (33) is reported to be facing charges of attempted murder.
On the 4th, local media such as ET Today in Taiwan reported that Wang Dalu has been referred to the prosecution on charges of attempted murder.
According to local media, Wang Dalu, who returned to Taiwan and requested an airport pickup service, had a dispute with the driver over vehicle issues. Subsequently, Wang Dalu informed an acquaintance about this incident, and the acquaintance mobilized people to assault the driver.
The incident came to light during the prosecution's investigation into Wang Dalu's draft evasion charges. Videos capturing the assault on the driver and related conversations were found on Wang Dalu's mobile phone, leading to the additional charge of attempted murder.
Wang Dalu was previously investigated by the prosecution for draft evasion on the 18th of last month.
At that time, he was arrested for paying a broker 1 million Taiwanese dollars (approximately 4.4 million won) to obtain a forged medical certificate claiming he suffered from heart disease and other ailments to evade military service.
After posting bail of 150,000 Taiwanese dollars (approximately 650,000 won), he was released and is scheduled to enlist on the 13th for one year of alternative service.
