'Salim Nam' has achieved the highest viewership rating in Saturday entertainment for 4 consecutive weeks.
In the episode aired on the 8th, KBS 2TV's 'Salim Nam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salim Nam') featured episodes about Park Seo-jin and Ji Sang-ryeol's daily lives and their new project 'Memory Salim Nam'.
On this day, the special guest was announcer Jeong Eun-hye, known as 'Seoul National University Karina' and 'KBS Karina'. The viewership rating recorded 6.0% according to Nielsen Korea nationwide, and a scene where Ji Sang-ryeol, who went to Incheon Wolmido with Park Seo-jin, was attacked by seagulls while feeding them snacks brought great laughter, soaring to a peak rating of 7.9%.
On this day, Park Seo-jin was seen heading somewhere with a bouquet, looking excited. He revealed, "I was invited by someone I want to get closer to for the first time in my life," adding, "That person resembles a puppy, makes me smile when I'm with them, and for some reason, I feel good. They are someone I don't want to miss in my life," sparking curiosity.
The puppy-like person Park Seo-jin mentioned was Ji Sang-ryeol. Known for being shy, Park Seo-jin had such a deep admiration for Ji Sang-ryeol that he asked for his contact information for the first time in his life, confessing, "Hyung is very funny and a special person who is my ideal type." In response, Ji Sang-ryeol recalled what a shaman once told him, saying, "They said a good person would come this year, and is it you? You should meet someone too." Park Seo-jin then joked, "Isn't it good if something happens? It feels like a Venus flytrap," making everyone laugh.
Afterward, Ji Sang-ryeol took Park Seo-jin, who lives in Incheon but had never properly explored it, on an Incheon tour. The two first headed to Sinpo International Market, where they engaged in a comedic training disguised as a tour.
At the market, Park Seo-jin not only learned reporting and reactions from Ji Sang-ryeol but also picked up the so-called 'Ji Sang-ryeol style' from the witty Ji Sang-ryeol, bringing laughter with his growing comedic skills. Notably, when asked, "What would you say if you were about to kiss your girlfriend but had bad breath?" Park Seo-jin replied, "Did you eat warm garbage?" earning him recognition as a perfect apprentice from Ji Sang-ryeol and causing uproarious laughter.
The two enjoyed a fun time at Wolmido, a must-visit date spot in Incheon, feeding seagulls and riding amusement rides. During this, Ji Sang-ryeol pretended to ride the Viking, a famous attraction in Wolmido, but secretly got off before it started, betraying Park Seo-jin. Alone on the Viking, Park Seo-jin cried out in betrayal and fear, sharing, "The feelings I had for Sang-ryeol hyung melted away, and the betrayal was enough to overcome my fear of heights," which made everyone laugh.
Later, the two had their first drinking session, sharing deep conversations. After going through a long period of being unknown, Park Seo-jin expressed, "Since I received the spotlight in a short time, I feel a lot of caution. I have a desire to maintain that position, but I also worry that I could slip at any moment. Sometimes I think, 'I am not a vessel that can hold this.'" Ji Sang-ryeol candidly shared his experiences, advising, "No one can hold the reins of life for you. You have to be healthy. Enjoy today," which resonated deeply.
Ji Sang-ryeol stated, "I always say this, but even if you meet once a year, there are true close friends. Regardless of age or seniority, that is a true friend." Park Seo-jin also remarked, "I don't have anyone I can talk to openly when I'm struggling, but talking with Sang-ryeol hyung this time made me realize he is someone who can give me a lot of advice. I sincerely thank him."
Eun Ji-won and Baek Ji-young have come together for a new project of 'Salim Nam'. They decided to create a project called 'Memory Salim Nam', where they will look for the current status of nostalgic stars who decorated a page of the 90s, holding meetings with the production team.
As a result, nostalgic singers who have made history in the music industry, such as Cool's Lee Jae-hoon, Young Turks Club, Shin Seung-hun, One Time, Jinusean's Jinusean, and Y2K, were summoned. Additionally, they mentioned top youth stars of the time, such as actor Kim Chan-woo, who starred in the drama 'What is Love' and the sitcom 'Soonpoong Obstetrics and Gynecology', hinting at a glamorous lineup.
