Actor Park Young-kyu shared his love story with his 25-year-younger wife.

On the 10th, the YouTube channel ‘Jjanhan-hyung Shin Dong-yeob’ featured the main cast of KBS2’s ‘Villain’s Country’, including Oh Na-ra, So Yoo-jin, and Park Young-kyu.

On that day, Park Young-kyu said, “Since I’m older, living alone has been tough. I was alone until my mid-60s. I hadn’t really done much housework, so I wanted to meet a good person before I got older. That’s why I bought a new house.”

Park Young-kyu continued, “I thought it would be nice to meet a single mother with one daughter. I had painful memories regarding sons, so I thought having a daughter would be good. So, I made a room for a daughter and even built a private bathroom. I wanted to remarry according to that plan, and it worked out.”

He added, “I brought my wife’s daughter home and showed her the room. She went in and seemed to really like it. Right there, she called me ‘Dad’,” which brought laughter.

He also expressed his affection for his daughter, saying, “When I remarried my wife, I made one promise. I said I would take good care of her daughter. I met her daughter when she was in 5th grade, and now she’s in her 3rd year of high school. I’ve worked hard to help her develop well.”

Additionally, Park Young-kyu talked about his first meeting with his wife. He said, “There’s a screenwriter I know who said she bought an officetel, so I asked her to introduce me to one. I got the contact number of the person in charge, and it turned out to be a woman. I saw her photo, and she had a pretty impression that I liked. We met, signed the contract, made the deposit, and then started talking.”

Park Young-kyu expressed, “It’s harder for women to remarry. They can’t afford to fail again, right? So they hesitate and hesitate. It was really tough to break through that. In the end, I cried a lot. Not out of sadness, but out of frustration.”

He continued, “I cut off contact for about 5 months. Then suddenly, I thought of her and sent a message, and I got a reply in 15 seconds. During that time, she went on a business trip and said her car broke down at the airport. I thought, if she’s going to be my person, she shouldn’t be driving that kind of car. I took her straight to a car dealership. I handed her the keys and proposed.”
