Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side has expressed their stance regarding the additional revelations from the late Kim Sae-ron's family.
On the 12th, Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist stated, “Our official stance remains unchanged from what we previously communicated.”
On the 11th, the YouTube channel Garoseoro Research Institute (hereafter referred to as Gaseyeon) released additional information regarding the late Kim Sae-ron's family, including text messages sent to Kim Soo-hyun and photos taken with him.
In a text message sent on March 19 of last year, the sender wrote, “I received a notice of lawsuit. You said you would give me enough time, so I am diligently preparing for my return. I will gradually repay a percentage with each project. I’m not saying I won’t repay. If you ask for 700 million won right now, I really can’t do it. It’s not that I won’t, but that I can’t,” and pleaded, “Do we really have to go to court? Please save me. I beg you. Give me time.”
Additionally, Gaseyeon released a photo of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek. It appears to have been taken on the same day as a photo that Kim Sae-ron posted on social media and later deleted. Kim Sae-ron posted a photo on social media on March 24 of last year, five days after the text was sent, but later deleted it.
Gaseyeon claimed on the 10th that based on the family's assertions, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship for six years in the past. According to Gaseyeon, when their relationship began in 2015, Kim Sae-ron was 15 years old and a minor. Kim Soo-hyun, born in 1988, is 12 years older than Kim Sae-ron, who was born in 2000.
In response, Gold Medalist stated on the 10th, “Gaseyeon has made malicious claims against us and actor Kim Soo-hyun, alleging that we conspired with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho to harass the late Kim Sae-ron, that Kim Sae-ron dated Kim Soo-hyun from the age of 15, and that our agency's response to Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving incident was inappropriate, among other falsehoods. These are absolutely unacceptable false facts. We are considering the strongest legal response possible against Gaseyeon's dissemination of false information,” expressing a firm stance.
