The fan cafe of actor Kim Soo-hyun, which has switched to private mode, has declared its public support.
On the 13th, the Kim Soo-hyun fan cafe 'Yukaris' stated, "The closure of the cafe and the effective suspension of operations are not true," and added, "It is currently temporarily private, and we will switch back to public mode as soon as safety measures for member protection are secured."
They continued, "We hope you will stop the cyberbullying," and announced, "As a fan cafe, Yukaris will continue to stand by actor Kim Soo-hyun without change."
Currently, 'Yukaris' has closed all bulletin boards except for an announcement written by the operator, leaving only a temporary bulletin board. This fan cafe is known to have about 29,000 members and has served as Kim Soo-hyun's official fan cafe.
Previously, the management explained, "The reason for temporarily switching the cafe to private mode is to prevent cyberbullying against members," stating that they made the switch out of concern that fans would become targets after allegations of Kim Soo-hyun's underage dating surfaced.
The family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed through the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' that Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for over six years since she was 15. The channel has released photos of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek and text messages in which Kim Sae-ron, who received a content certification, asks Kim Soo-hyun for help, causing a stir.
Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, stated, "This is a clear falsehood," and announced, "We are considering the strongest legal response possible against the dissemination of false information by 'Garo Sero Research Institute'." They have emphasized that there will be "no change in position" despite repeated additional revelations.
As the controversy continues, Kim Soo-hyun's side stated on the same day, "We will clarify the facts and respond to baseless rumors with clear evidence next week," and added, "We apologize for causing prolonged fatigue. We ask for your understanding as this is to avoid continued reporting."
