Actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency has addressed the allegations of 'false explanation'.
On the morning of the 14th, Gold Medalist released an official statement denying the allegations that their actor Kim Soo-hyun was in a relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor. The claim is that the two were in a relationship from the summer of 2019, after Kim Sae-ron became an adult, until the fall of 2020.
However, in the next statement, the agency clarified, "The photos shared by Kim Sae-ron on her Instagram story on March 24, 2024, and the photos revealed during the broadcast of the 'Garo Sero Research Institute' on March 11, 2025, are all private moments of the two during their relationship taken on the same day in winter 2020."
In response, netizens pointed out that the agency's statements were inconsistent. They stated that the relationship lasted from 'the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020', yet claimed that the photos released by the Garo Sero Research Institute were taken in 'winter 2020'.
In relation to this, a representative from Gold Medalist told Maeil Business Star Today, "The winter of 2020 mentioned in the previous statement refers to early months like January and February," and added, "We apologize for the confusion."
Previously, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed through the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' that Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for over six years since she was 15. The channel revealed photos of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek and text messages where Kim Sae-ron requested help from Kim Soo-hyun, causing a stir.
