She continued, "Sae-ron has never lied to the media. She did not indulge in gambling without self-reflection, nor did she pretend to work part-time through lies, and she was not a child who only enjoyed nightlife with friends. She did not create dating rumors with manipulated photos (with Kim Soo-hyun). YouTuber A and the cyber bullies created false articles that dragged the ordinary and promising actress's life and family into hell. The gold medalist labeled Sae-ron as a 'crazy girl who lies' without understanding the intent behind the photos she posted."
Furthermore, she stated, "At that time, Sae-ron had no one but her family. All the sharp arrows of false articles were directed at my young daughter, who had just turned twenty, and the only one who endured the unbearable, humiliating personal attacks was Sae-ron herself. She has endured alone for three years, without sleep, in solitude."
Kim Sae-ron's mother questioned, "While we are mourning the loss of our child, YouTubers hide cameras and come to the funeral home, and YouTuber A calls even during the mourning period. Can these people be called human? Can you forgive such people?"
She emphasized, "We, the bereaved family, only hope that the honor of Sae-ron, who can no longer be seen by us, will be fully restored as an actress, and that legal and institutional measures will be established so that the media can fulfill their duties and responsibilities to prevent such incidents from happening again."
The family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed through the YouTube channel 'Garoseoro Research Institute' starting from the 10th that Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for over six years since she was 15. They released photos of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek and text messages where Kim Sae-ron sought help from Kim Soo-hyun regarding a penalty issue related to a drunk driving accident, causing a stir.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, released an official statement on the morning of the 14th, claiming that the two dated from the summer of 2019, after Kim Sae-ron became an adult, until the fall of 2020. They also refuted the claims that Kim Soo-hyun lent money to Kim Sae-ron for the drunk driving penalty or urged her to repay it.
