Anchor Kim Joo-ha is stepping down from the main news position at MBN after 10 years.
Starting April 1, MBN will significantly replace major program anchors as part of its 30th anniversary reorganization.
‘News 7’ will be taken over by reporter Choi Joong-rak, who previously served as a Washington correspondent, and reporter Yoo Ho-jung, who hosted the current affairs program ‘Pandora’, in place of Kim Joo-ha, who has been hosting it solo.
In a recent personnel change, anchor Kim Joo-ha was promoted from special director to special managing director.
Kim Joo-ha joined MBC as an announcer in 1997 and has led the weekday ‘News Desk’ since 2000. She then transitioned to a reporter in 2004, working in the economic, international, and social departments.
In 2007, she established herself as a leading anchor by hosting the weekend ‘News Desk’ solo. In 2015, she moved to MBN as a special director and has been hosting the weekday evening MBN main news for the past 10 years.
