Choi Eun-kyung, a former KBS announcer, shared her feelings about leaving the show ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’ (hereafter ‘Dongchimi’).
On the 25th, Choi Eun-kyung posted on her SNS, “Yesterday and today, I received so many messages… I was surprised by the number of calls I got after seeing the article,” and added, “Since I’m shy about being the center of attention, I thought that not saying goodbye on air and just recording as usual would be the best way to say goodbye to you all, so I recorded it happily.”
She continued, “Seeing how much you all are going to miss me, I felt it was polite to at least leave a message here for our long-time ‘Dongchimi’ family and those who have loved us. I want to thank everyone who has been with ‘Dongchimi’ for over 13 years, those who created it, and the viewers who loved it… Thanks to the stories you generously shared, I was able to grow a lot. Through your concerns, I untangled my own worries, and through your lives, I was able to adjust the direction of my own life and become a better person.”
She also said, “It was an honor to be with ‘Dongchimi,’ which was truly the reference book of my life, and I hope you continue to love ‘Dongchimi’ in the future. I am really grateful,” and added, “Starting in my 40s and now in my 50s, I will joyfully write the ‘Dongchimi Liberation Diary’ from now on, and as always, I will work hard in more broadcasts.”
Choi Eun-kyung and Park Soo-hong, who have been the long-time MCs of ‘Dongchimi,’ will leave the show after the broadcast on the 29th of this month. Kim Yong-man, Lee Hyun-yi, and Enok have been selected as their successors.
