Actress Kim Yoo-jung has joined in donating for wildfire relief support.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 27th, "Kim Yoo-jung has donated 80 million won for wildfire recovery."
Kim Yoo-jung stated, "My heart is heavy when I think of those who have lost their homes and are going through difficult times due to the wildfires," and added, "Although it is a small gesture, I decided to donate with the hope that it would help. I sincerely wish for everyone to quickly regain their peaceful daily lives."
The donation will be used for emergency support and provision of relief supplies for residents in wildfire-affected areas such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
Meanwhile, since the 21st, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, have resulted in casualties and numerous evacuees.
Currently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to expand the existing disaster safety initial response team into an emergency response team that includes relevant departments due to the ongoing dry weather and strong winds causing the wildfires to spread, resulting in many casualties and evacuees.
