JTBC has cut off the server of the production company for ‘Strongest Baseball’ with which it is in conflict.

On the 31st, News1 reported that JTBC employees visited the C1 office, entered the C1 editing room where no one was present, and disconnected the server. C1 reported this to the police, and both parties underwent an on-site investigation. C1 is reportedly planning to sue JTBC for trespassing and obstruction of business.

JTBC stated on the same day, “We sent a request for the editing room to vacate and a formal notice to vacate within a week,” adding, “It is correct that we visited to confirm that the editing room and equipment are owned by JTBC.”

JTBC and C1 are in conflict over the production costs related to ‘Strongest Baseball’. JTBC claimed, “C1 has overcharged production costs by hundreds of millions to billions,” stating, “By proceeding with the production of Season 4, they are infringing on the IP rights of ‘Strongest Baseball’.” On the other hand, C1’s PD Jang Si-won rebutted, “There cannot be overcharging structurally as the post-billing and actual cost settlement conditions are not in place,” and added, “JTBC’s copyright is limited to the footage of Season 3.”

While JTBC is preparing for the broadcast of Season 4 with a new production team, C1 is conducting tryouts separately from JTBC and is releasing practice videos on its YouTube channel.
