Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side is proceeding with an additional lawsuit against ‘Gaseyeon’.
The law firm LKBN Partners, which is legally representing Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist, announced on the 2nd, “On the previous day, we filed an additional lawsuit against Kim Se-yeon, the operator of the YouTube channel ‘Gaseyeon’, for violating the Stalking Punishment Act.”
The legal representative stated, “Since starting the broadcast titled ‘[Shocking Exclusive] Kim Soo-hyun Led to Kim Sae-ron's Death (Dating Kim Sae-ron for 6 Years Since She Was 15)’ on March 10, Gaseyeon has aired broadcasts about Kim Soo-hyun every day except for one day until March 31, spreading false information about him.”
They further pointed out, “Gaseyeon indiscriminately disseminated photos and videos of Kim Soo-hyun's face and body, as well as private letters and messages, on their YouTube channel, and the only way to stop Gaseyeon's ‘cyber wrecking’ behavior is through strict investigation and punishment.”
The legal representative also listed materials refuting Gaseyeon's claims along with their official statement. They emphasized that “all the photos released by Gaseyeon of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were taken after Kim Sae-ron became an adult in 2019.” In particular, regarding the photos of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron at a ski resort between 2015 and 2016, they rebutted, “This day was January 22, 2020, when Gold Medalist employees went to the ski resort together, and there are group photos as evidence.”
Additionally, the legal representative stated, “Gold Medalist has refuted all the false claims that Gaseyeon has persistently made (that actor Kim Soo-hyun dated the late Kim Sae-ron since she was a minor), but Gaseyeon continues to spread false information based on manipulated evidence and photos,” and emphasized, “Gold Medalist will once again gather and refute the various evidence presented by Gaseyeon, clarifying that the claim that Kim Soo-hyun dated the late Kim Sae-ron since she was a minor is absolutely not true.”
Gold Medalist is committed to responding strictly to Gaseyeon's criminal acts, including the dissemination of false information.
Kim Soo-hyun is currently in a heated conflict with the bereaved family regarding the incident involving Kim Sae-ron, who passed away in February. The bereaved family maintains that Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased were in a romantic relationship and continues to expose Kim Soo-hyun's private life. In this regard, Kim Soo-hyun claims that he did not date Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor.
Recently, Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference to directly clarify the suspicions surrounding him. He stated, “I did not date her when she was a minor, and we met after she became an adult,” and added, “I cannot say that a lie is the truth just because of coercion. I will prove it.”
At this event, Kim Soo-hyun's side announced that they have filed a defamation lawsuit against the bereaved family and an unidentified person claiming to be an ‘aunt’, as well as against Kim Se-yeon of ‘Gaseyeon’, and have also filed a lawsuit for damages amounting to 11 billion won.
