Actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, has released a statement regarding the bed scene in the movie "Real," which was brought to light by the comments of the late Sulli's (Choi Jin-ri) biological brother.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, Gold Medalist stated, "The role of the female lead, Song Yoo-hwa, played by Choi Jin-ri, included a bed scene from the script, so we specified 'an actress capable of performing exposure scenes' during casting."
They continued, "The script, which was conveyed to Choi Jin-ri and her agency at the time, included a bed scene, and there was a guideline regarding the level of exposure in the materials describing the character of Song Yoo-hwa. Additionally, a clause regarding the scope of exposure was separately included in the contract. Choi Jin-ri and her agency thoroughly reviewed all the details before deciding to participate."
Gold Medalist also addressed the claims made by Sulli's brother that "Choi Jin-ri was coerced into exposure during filming, that the bed scene between Choi Jin-ri and Kim Soo-hyun was not specified in the script, and that despite the presence of a body double, Sulli was forced into the bed scene," stating: ▲ Regarding the bed scene filming: The late Choi Jin-ri was aware of the scene beforehand and approached the filming with that understanding. ▲ Regarding the body double: There was a 'standing actor' who did not perform but replaced the actor's movements during the filming preparation stage.
Furthermore, Gold Medalist attached a fact confirmation letter from Kim Joong-ok, the assistant director of "Real," and Lee Jun-hyun, the script supervisor, along with images from the film's storyboard, including the bed scene and all other scenes that were filmed.
In this context, script supervisor Lee Jun-hyun stated, "I hope that no one suffers unnecessarily due to misunderstandings and that no one is wronged because of them."
Lee recalled, "To my memory, Choi Jin-ri was very positive and bright on set. She always seemed enthusiastic about preparing for the scenes to be filmed. I remember that on the day she finished her last filming, she went around to all the staff, including the youngest members, to share cookies she had prepared and say her goodbyes," indicating that there were no issues at that time.
He added, "There seems to be a problem regarding whether the audition announcement wording was appropriate, but it was an audition for a necessary role, and the wording was created by referencing the audition announcement for a female lead in a film by a well-known director produced the previous year." He emphasized, "In a way, this project was open about exposure and bed scenes from the audition stage, and it is incorrect to say that we coerced or persuaded the actor into exposure or bed scenes that were not originally in the script during filming."

Finally, Gold Medalist stated, "We would like to clarify that Kim Soo-hyun, who participated as an actor, is not involved in this matter. We understand that you may have been curious about the truth of what was said at the funeral. However, it is difficult to accept that events from over six years ago are being brought up 'now' and that non-existent events are being posted on social media as if they were experienced facts." They urged, "We hope that unfounded speculation will stop hurting those who poured their love and passion into the film 'Real.'
Kim Soo-hyun is currently in a heated conflict with the bereaved family regarding the incident involving Kim Sae-ron, who passed away last February. The bereaved family continues to assert that Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased were in a romantic relationship and demands an official apology while continuing to expose Kim Soo-hyun's private life. On the other hand, Kim Soo-hyun's side has reversed its previous stance, acknowledging the relationship but denying 'underage dating.'
In this process, Sulli's biological brother has targeted Kim Soo-hyun, demanding that he clarify his stance on the bed scene in "Real."
