Comedian Park Sung-kwang's wife, Lee Sol-i, has revealed her battle with cancer and has updated her current situation once again.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, Lee Sol-i opened up on her SNS, saying, “I am grateful that so many people have sent me messages of comfort and support. I suddenly feel that I may have been too absorbed in my own emotions, and I feel sorry for my husband and family.”
She continued, “About three years ago, I underwent surgery and completed chemotherapy under the protection of my family, and I am currently undergoing regular check-ups after being diagnosed with no cancer cells in my body.” She added, “There were articles that incorrectly reported that I might not live for several years, but that is not true. I will live healthily for a long time.”
Lee Sol-i expressed, “Having experienced pain that felt like death, I realized that death is never someone else's affair, and life is a blessing and a gift.” She said, “Now, if there are people I want to see, I see them, and if there are things I want to say, I say them. My life motto has become ‘a life with fewer regrets.’”
In conclusion, she stated, “SNS is a space where I want to contain my wishes, hopes, and positive energy,” and added, “I will continue to cultivate my daily life until the day I am fully cured.”
Earlier that day, Lee Sol-i shared her distress caused by malicious comments and revealed that she had been battling cancer after resigning, which drew sympathy. She also expressed her sadness about being unable to have children.
Park Sung-kwang and Lee Sol-i got married in 2020 and shared their newlywed life through the SBS variety show ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny.’
