Following the decision to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol, singer Lee Seung-hwan, actor Lee Dong-wook, and singer JK Kim Dong-wook have shown extreme reactions, causing a stir in the entertainment industry.

The Constitutional Court held a ruling on the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol at 11 a.m. on the 4th, unanimously accepting the National Assembly's impeachment motion. The effect of the impeachment took place immediately, resulting in President Yoon losing his position.

Immediately after the news, Lee Seung-hwan posted on social media, "I will have a drink today," adding, "I usually don't drink during performances, and the ENT doctor said I shouldn't either, but it's a day for me and for the country, how can I not drink?"

He continued, "Moreover, a fan happened to send a feast set," and cheered, "Our constitution is sophisticated, and our democracy is solid. Long live the Republic of Korea!"

Director Byun Young-joo also expressed joy over President Yoon's impeachment. She posted a news video with the caption 'Impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol' on social media, writing, "Please vacate the room." She also shared a photo of monk's pants, adding, "So please wear the monk's robe."

Lee Dong-wook shared a photo of cherry blossoms in full bloom on the fan communication platform Bubble, writing, "Ah, it's finally spring. Winter was too long." He added, "There was a forecast for rain today, but it's really clear," and expressed his happiness, saying, "Since the weather is nice, everyone go out and have fun. Enjoy your Friday night."

This seems to be more than just a simple weather greeting; it appears to reflect his feelings about the impeachment of former President Yoon. The post came right after the decision to impeach President Yoon, and previously, Lee Dong-wook had shared Girls' Generation's "Into the New World" to support fans who attended a pro-impeachment rally.

On the other hand, singer JK Kim Dong-wook, who has supported President Yoon, expressed despair over the Constitutional Court's decision, stating, "The Republic of Korea will collapse sooner than expected."

He wrote, "Every time I see videos saying that 2060 will be the year of the collapse of the Republic of Korea, I thought, 'No way, that quickly? No, it will change before then,' and I held onto a glimmer of hope. But now my thoughts have changed. The idea that it could collapse even sooner is dominant."

He continued, "To us 2030s!! I applaud and cheer for the hard work against this impeachment and to thwart anti-national forces," adding, "Although it is a more despairing time than hopeful, I think we must constantly ask ourselves what makes us passionate and what keeps us alive."

Thus, President Yoon Seok-yeol became the second president in the history of the Republic of Korea to be impeached, following former President Park Geun-hye in 2017. It has been 122 days since President Yoon declared martial law on December 3, and 111 days since the impeachment motion was received on December 14 of last year.

Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyung-bae stated, "The respondent (President Yoon) mobilized military and police forces to damage constitutional institutions such as the National Assembly and violated the basic human rights of the people, neglecting the duty to uphold the constitution," explaining that "the constitutional protection benefits gained by impeaching the respondent far outweigh the national losses resulting from the impeachment."
