Lee Min-kyu, former member of the group Mister Two, shared his recent updates after a long time.
Lee Min-kyu, who debuted in 1993 as part of the male duo Mister Two, appeared on MBN’s ‘Exclusive World’ broadcast on the 3rd and revealed, “I got divorced after 8 years of marriage.”
During the broadcast, Lee Min-kyu reminisced about his days with Mister Two, saying, “When we started gaining popularity, there were also Kim Gun-mo, Seo Taiji and Boys, and Kim Won-jun. Among them, we were the most popular.” He added, “After our second album, I ventured into various businesses, including a wedding business, hotels, and clothing. Some of those businesses were similar to scams, and I suffered losses from them,” explaining the reason for his hiatus.
Lee Min-kyu also revealed his home where he lives alone and confessed about his divorce. “It wasn’t just our (couple's) problem,” he began, “At that time, I lived with my in-laws, and if I had been more considerate and patient, it might have been okay... If someone dislikes their partner's family and has conflicts, it’s unlikely to look good. That’s where some of the conflicts started,” he said.
He was also seen having a meal with his two sons after a long time. Lee Min-kyu expressed, “They have grown a lot during that time,” and added, “Even though I’m physically apart from the kids, I think I need to be someone who is there for them in body, not just in spirit.”
Currently working as a restaurant worker, he stated, “I know there’s nothing easy in this world, but after working a day, I really feel it,” and mentioned that he practices singing every morning whenever he has time, in addition to his job.
Meanwhile, Lee Min-kyu debuted as the vocalist of Mister Two in 1993 and rose to stardom with the mega hit song ‘White Winter.’ He also appeared in the movie ‘Stroll’ in 2000.
