Singer Lee Seung-chul is about to become a father-in-law. His eldest daughter, whom he gained through remarriage, is getting married this fall.
On the afternoon of the 6th, KBS 2TV's ‘The Boss's Ears are Donkey Ears’ featured chef Shin Jong-chul preparing a lunchbox to support his favorite brother, Lee Seung-chul, during his nationwide tour concert.
On that day, Shin Jong-chul said, “We need to treat our Seung-chul hyung well,” and instructed the chefs to put in extra effort. He revealed, “The cooking time for the lunchbox took a whopping two days, and the ingredient cost alone was 1 million won,” showing his exceptional fan spirit.
When Lee Seung-chul opened the lunchbox, he exclaimed, “I've never seen a lunchbox like this in my 40 years as a singer.” In response, Shin Jong-chul hoped for a contract with Lee Seung-chul, but Lee Seung-chul humorously redirected the conversation, saying, “We should do a gala show. We need to have a gala dinner,” which drew laughter.
Lee Seung-chul then added, “Today, my wife, my eldest daughter, and my eldest daughter's boyfriend are coming, so I will make sure they enjoy the lunchbox,” and revealed, “I will soon be a father-in-law. (My eldest daughter) is getting married in October,” catching attention. He also mentioned, “There’s a lot to do for the wedding. Soon, I might become a grandfather.”
Lee Seung-chul married actress Kang Moon-young in 1995 but divorced two years later. He then remarried in 2007 to his current wife, Park Hyun-jung, who is two years older than him. Lee Seung-chul has an eldest daughter from his remarriage and a younger daughter, Lee Won.
