Kim Min-hee and director Hong have been in a relationship since 2016. The two, who have been in an extramarital affair for nine years, attended the 75th Berlin International Film Festival together with their new film "What Does the Nature Say to You," which was nominated in a competitive category, but they did not win any awards. Kim Min-hee did not appear in public during the festival.
Director Hong made his debut in 1997 with "The Day a Pig Fell into the Well," entering the Berlin stage, and has screened a total of 12 works at the festival. Since 2020, he has been invited for six consecutive years and has received honors for "Alone on the Beach at Night" (Best Actress for Kim Min-hee), "The Woman Who Ran" (Best Director), "Introduction" (Best Screenplay), and "The Novelist's Film" and "The Need for Travelers" (Jury Prize).
