Rhymer (47), the former husband of broadcaster Ahn Hyun-mo and the CEO of Brand New Music, caught attention for his calm and composed response to a sudden rude question from a drunk.
On the 9th, a video titled ‘National HIPBAP Gukbap Battle! 3,000 Won Gukbap VS 30,000 Won Gukbap’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Rhymer’. In this video, Rhymer visited a restaurant located in Jongno and faced an unexpected situation.
He stated, “These days, being able to have a meal in Seoul for 3,000 won is truly a blessing,” and added, “The customer next to me is drinking quite loudly, but I will try to focus on the gukbap.”
As expected, a drunken customer approached Rhymer while he was filming. The drunk said, “I didn’t know who you were earlier, but now I recognize you,” and moved closer, to which Rhymer kindly responded, “Do you know me, sir?” despite the sudden situation.

However, the drunk then asked a rude question, “Why did you divorce your wife (Ahn Hyun-mo)?” which surprised and embarrassed those present. Eventually, a staff member intervened to calm the drunk, but he raised his voice and exhibited somewhat aggressive behavior, saying, “Come out here!”
Nevertheless, Rhymer politely replied, “Sir, I haven’t eaten yet, but I will talk to you after I finish my meal,” and the drunk responded, “Okay, I’ll support you,” before leaving. Rhymer then said, “There’s a variety of fun in this. I have to think positively about everything,” and forced a smile.
He added, “It’s good that he definitely recognized me,” and while continuing to eat, he mentioned, “Actually, when you were talking earlier, you splattered rice all over, so I feel a bit nauseous.”
Meanwhile, Rhymer debuted in 1996 as part of the male duo ‘Jo & Rhymer’ and has been active as a rapper, producer, and broadcaster, also serving as the CEO of Brand New Music.
He married broadcaster Ahn Hyun-mo, a former SBS reporter, in 2017, and they appeared together on couple variety shows such as ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams’ and ‘Our Chachacha’, gaining popularity. However, in November 2023, after six years of marriage, they completed divorce proceedings and parted ways.
