Singer Lee Chan-won has been honored with an award at the '37th Korean PD Awards Ceremony'.

The '37th Korean PD Awards Ceremony' was held on the 9th at the KBS Annex Public Hall in Yeouido and was broadcast on KBS1 on the 15th at 2:30 PM.

Lee Chan-won, who was named in the singer category for the Performer Award, expressed his gratitude through a video message. He stated, “I am honored to receive a great award at such a meaningful ceremony,” and added, “I will strive to bring laughter and healthy emotions through my songs and broadcasts in the new year of 2025.”

The 'Korean PD Awards' is a prestigious award given to winners selected by the Korean PD Association through preliminary and final evaluations. Awards such as the Experimental Spirit Award, Work Award, and Performer Award are presented. Over 130 current PDs participate in the judging process to select PDs and broadcasters who have contributed to the development of free press and social and cultural advancement through broadcasting.

Lee Chan-won made a name for himself with the TV CHOSUN show 'Mr. Trot' in 2020, and solidified his position as a leading singer by becoming the first trot singer to win two awards on terrestrial music broadcasts with his mini-album 'bright;燦' released last year.

In addition to his music activities, Lee Chan-won has also shown remarkable performance in broadcasting. Recently, he showcased his stable hosting skills as an MC and game commentator on the KBS2 program 'Pollunteer', which was promoted from a pilot program. He received praise for his role as a mentor to participants as an MC and producer on tvN STORY's 'Handsome Trot'.

He is demonstrating his presence as a broadcaster by making long-term appearances on various entertainment programs such as KBS2's 'Immortal Songs', 'Newly Launched Pyeon Restaurant', and JTBC's 'Talk Partner 25'.
