Actor Um Tae-woong has made an official appearance after about 8 years of self-reflection due to personal life controversies.

On the 15th, Um Tae-woong attended the VIP screening of the movie 'Opposition' held at Megabox Coex in Gangnam, Seoul, and stood on the photo wall.

Um Tae-woong, who was not on the VIP list shared with the press, made a surprise appearance on the photo wall wearing a dark-toned denim shirt and black pants.

Um Tae-woong said, "I heard that the director has been preparing this for a long time. I think it will be very well-made and interesting, so I am looking forward to it."

In 2016, Um Tae-woong was embroiled in controversy after being accused of sexually assaulting an employee of an entertainment establishment, referred to as A. During the process, A's claims were found to be false, and Um Tae-woong was cleared of the sexual assault charges, but he received a summary indictment with a fine of 1 million won for prostitution charges.

As a result, Um Tae-woong was subjected to a broadcasting suspension and had a long hiatus. Recently, he has shared updates through a YouTube channel run by his wife, Yoon Hye-jin, and held a recent photo exhibition.

Um Tae-woong has begun his comeback by filming the drama 'I Kill You' in 2023. The work has not yet been released.
