Actress Kim Ae-kyung (75) confessed that she has been living as a weekend wife with her husband Lee Chan-ho (70) since shortly after their marriage, for 17 years.
On the 16th, Kim Ae-kyung appeared alongside her husband on TV Chosun's 'Perfect Life' and said, "We live as a weekend couple."
In the video released that day, they headed to a country house in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon for the weekend. This is her husband's home, and the couple has been living separately since their marriage in 2008.
The two were affectionate throughout the video. They went on a beach date and reminisced about their past travels abroad, with her husband recalling, "As a country boy, everything was fascinating to me." Photos of them kissing on the street alongside a foreign couple in a European park were also revealed.

Kim Ae-kyung explained, "We met late in our late 50s. We had long-standing habits ingrained in us. My husband is a morning person, and I am nocturnal. We tried to live together, but it was uncomfortable for both of us. We decided to live as if we were married but not married, and vice versa. That's how we live freely."
Lee Chan-ho also expressed, "Living together can lead to various troubles. You know that from being married. Of course, there are pros and cons, but being apart makes us feel like newlyweds all the time," he said, satisfied.
Kim Ae-kyung debuted as a talent in MBC's first public recruitment in 1969 and has been actively involved in various works for a long time. She first met her husband Lee Chan-ho in 2005, and the couple has no children. Lee Chan-ho is known to be a wire artist.
