JTBC will launch the new season of ‘Strongest Baseball’ in September.
JTBC’s ‘Strongest Baseball 2025’ is currently in the process of recruiting coaches and players, aiming for its first broadcast in September, with team setup expected to be completed by May.
The new season of ‘Strongest Baseball’ will return with upgraded scale and composition, building on the strengths of the previous seasons.
As a content responsible for baseball fans' “baseball-less Mondays,” it will provide thrilling viewing experiences by capturing an entire game in each episode with a fast-paced narrative.
From the fierce competition of the newly strengthened Strongest Monsters team to the vivid reactions from the dugout, it plans to return as the ultimate baseball content that viewers won't be able to take their eyes off.
JTBC stated, “Once the team composition is complete, we will accelerate production to meet viewers as soon as possible after training,” adding, “As the copyright holder of ‘Strongest Baseball,’ we will take strong legal action against similar content that infringes on the ‘Strongest Baseball’ IP.”
In particular, it added, “We ask that the industry and stakeholders be cautious of the illegal production and broadcasting of derivative content that only changes the title, name, and composition of ‘Strongest Baseball.’”
Currently, JTBC is in a dispute with PD Jang Si-won, who directed the previous ‘Strongest Baseball.’ From Season 1 in 2022 to Season 3, it was produced by Studio C1, led by PD Jang Si-won. The conflict began when JTBC raised suspicions of duplicate and excessive billing of production costs by Studio C1.
JTBC claimed that Studio C1’s actions “are infringing on the IP rights of Strongest Baseball by forcibly proceeding with the production of Season 4.” In response, C1 stated, “There can be no excessive billing structurally, as it is not a post-billing and actual cost settlement condition. JTBC's copyright is limited to the footage of Season 3,” pointing out the issue of intellectual property theft.
Subsequently, PD Jang announced the launch of a new program called ‘Flame Baseball.’ It is expected to feature not only the existing players of ‘Strongest Baseball’ but also coach Kim Seong-keun. The broadcasting platform has not yet been determined.
As this news was reported, JTBC announced the launch of the new season in September while keeping an eye on PD Jang’s actions.
