On the 22nd, KBS2's 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret' will reveal anecdotes about Kang Soo-yeon, the real-life protagonist of the famous line "I may not have money, but do I lack pride?" from the movie 'Veteran', who led the Korean film industry to its golden age.
Kang Soo-yeon began her acting career as a child actor and continued her journey as a 'box office guarantee' during a drought in the Korean film industry after becoming an adult. Lee Chan-won shared, "There were audiences lined up from Jongno 3-ga to Jongno 2-ga to buy tickets," recounting Kang Soo-yeon's legendary story of setting the fourth highest box office record in Korean film history with the movie 'Mimi and Cheolsu's Youth Sketch'.
The broadcast will also introduce Kang Soo-yeon's continuous good deeds, such as buying meals for less fortunate colleagues in the film industry even after reaching the top, and jumping into promotional activities despite knowing it might lead to controversy. Her family felt reassured seeing her snoring, but she suddenly passed away at the young age of 56. The attending physician who examined Kang Soo-yeon in the emergency room cited 'cerebral hemorrhage due to a ruptured aneurysm' as the cause.
Dr. MC Lee Nak-jun stated, "Kang Soo-yeon's family provided her health check-up results. At 56, she should not be in a health condition to suffer from a cerebral hemorrhage," and explained, "Just because an aneurysm forms doesn't mean there are symptoms.
