Actor Kim Mu-jun (27) has denied rumors of double dating with Japanese top actor Tanaka Kei (41) and Nagano Mei (26), who has been embroiled in an affair scandal.
On the 23rd, Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun reported that "Nagano and Tanaka are in an affair." The publication claimed that the two, who became acquainted during a film shoot in 2021, developed into a romantic relationship last year, and released photos of them together, including ones where they are holding hands.
Since Tanaka is married to a former actress and has two daughters, the Japanese entertainment industry has been shaken by the news.
Additionally, the media raised suspicions of double dating, stating that Nagano has invited Korean actor Kim Mu-jun, with whom she has been working in a drama, to her home several times.
In response, a representative from Kim Mu-jun's agency, 9ato Entertainment, dismissed the allegations, stating to Maeil Business Star Today, "The two are just close colleagues."
Both Nagano and Tanaka's sides have also denied the affair rumors. Nagano's side stated, "Tanaka and Kim Mu-jun are both close seniors and colleagues, and there is no fact of them dating," while Tanaka's side also clarified, "We are friends with Nagano Mei."
Nagano and Tanaka worked together as a father-daughter duo in the movie "And the Baton was Passed," which is set to be released in 2024. Tanaka plays the third father 'Morimiya,' while Nagano plays his stepdaughter 'Yuko.'
Kim Mu-jun, a graduate of the Seoul Institute of the Arts, gained recognition through his roles in Korean dramas "Lovers," "The Speed Going to You 493km," and "Sorry, Today as Well." He is currently appearing in the Japanese TBS drama "Caster" alongside Nagano.
