Actress Han Ga-in (43) is raising the bar for bold transformations alongside the growth of YouTube.
On the 24th, Han Ga-in appeared in a video released on her YouTube channel ‘Free Woman Han Ga-in’ as a character parodying dancer Lee Jung, called ‘Home’.
She recreated the signature style shown by Lee Jung on the Mnet dancer survival program ‘Street Woman Fighter’. With red lips, pukka (pigtail) hair, and a piercing in the center of her lips, she showcased a look completely different from her previously elegant and pure image.
Visiting a makeup shop, Han Ga-in said, “I’ve filmed about 20 YouTube contents so far, but today I’m the most worried,” adding, “Even though my first child is 10 years old, I’ve never done this hairstyle. It’s a big deal that I’m doing this now,” and laughed.
Successfully transformed, Han Ga-in joked, “A woman devoted to home, it’s home,” and when she showed her look to her husband Yeon Jeong-hoon, he responded, “Is this hip-hop?”
On the same day, Han Ga-in also revealed the style on her SNS, adding a short comment, “Home instead of Lee Jung, haha, really trying everything.”
This is not the first time Han Ga-in has made a bold transformation. Last October, she gained attention by challenging a ‘shocking makeup’ as a character named ‘Park Bok-sil’ alongside YouTuber RalRal, adding work pants, a floral t-shirt, rubber shoes, and a wig.
At that time, a scene of her video calling Yeon Jeong-hoon was also revealed, where he couldn’t hide his embarrassment and kept chuckling, and when Han Ga-in provocatively asked, “Would you still want to live with me like this?” even RalRal tried to intervene.
