Director Shin Won-ho candidly expressed his feelings regarding the delay in airing the new tvN weekend drama 'Eventually, Wise Resident Life' (hereafter 'Unsung'), saying, "This is the first time something like this has happened."

On the 25th, a video titled 'Who is the mood maker on set? Feat. Self-recommendation by Kang Yoo-seok' was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of 'Netflix Korea'.

The video features Go Yoon-jung, Kang Yoo-seok, Shin Chia, Han Ye-ji, and Director Shin Won-ho. Director Shin began by saying, "'Unsung' was originally scheduled to air last May as a follow-up to 'Queen of Tears'."

He continued, "However, after the government's announcement of the medical school enrollment expansion policy, the residents went on a long-term medical strike, and this work, which is based on residents, was also postponed."

He revealed, "It has been almost a year since we finished filming, and it has never taken this long to release something we have already shot, nor has it been similar in the past," adding, "After waiting for more than 10 months, I felt emotional from the moment I saw the trailer."

'Unsung' is a spin-off drama of 'Wise Doctor Life', depicting the growth process of obstetrics and gynecology residents. However, before its airing, residents from major hospitals collectively resigned, leading to a medical gap, which caused the scheduling to be postponed multiple times due to the mismatch with reality.
