Actor Lee Jun-young has shocked audiences by portraying an unprecedented villain character in ‘Weak Hero Class 2’.

In the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’ (written by Park Hyun-woo, Yoo Soo-min, directed by Yoo Soo-min, produced by Han Jun-hee), which was released on the afternoon of the 25th, he played the role of Geum Seong-jae, delivering a multi-dimensional performance that captivated global viewers.

‘Weak Hero Class 2’ tells the story of a model student, Yeon Si-eun (played by Park Ji-hoon), who transfers to Eunjang High School with the trauma of having fought against violence for a friend but ultimately failing to protect them. It depicts a brutal survival story and a brilliant coming-of-age tale as he faces even greater violence to ensure he never loses a friend again.

Lee Jun-young took on the role of Geum Seong-jae, a free spirit who does not wish to belong anywhere or to anyone, but only seeks fun. He is a seemingly carefree yet somehow chilling 'my pace' character who appears to be the closest to the leader of the school bullies.

In the released episode, Geum Seong-jae made his first appearance enjoying a game at a PC room. Upon hearing someone badmouthing him from across the room, he walked over without hesitation and ruthlessly assaulted the person before calmly returning to his seat and immersing himself back into the game, revealing his cruel side.

When Geum Seong-jae first faced Yeon Si-eun, he swung his fist at him with a subtle smile, chilling the viewers. In a bloody fight scene on the rooftop, he flawlessly executed intense action that resembled a real fight, enhancing the immersion.

Lee Jun-young proved his worth with a chilling and terrifying villain role, continuing the 'handsome trash' label he earned from previous works like ‘D.P.’, ‘Mask Girl’, and ‘Brave Citizen’.

Having left a strong impression as a deserter in the 2021 Netflix series ‘D.P.’, Lee Jun-young perfectly portrayed an all-time great villain character in the Netflix series ‘Mask Girl’ and the film ‘Brave Citizen’, establishing his unique presence. In the Netflix series ‘Melomovie’, released in February, he played Hong Si-jun, a self-proclaimed genius who is actually an unknown composer, evoking empathy by portraying a former lover with a different emotional pace.

In ‘Poxak Soksuda’, which dominated the Netflix Top 10 in 39 countries worldwide and gained a syndrome-level popularity, he played the pure and earnest man Yeong-beom, who only has eyes for his girlfriend Geum-myeong (IU), stealing the hearts of global viewers.
