Musical actor Son Jun-ho (42) and Kim So-hyun (49)'s son Joo-an (21) won a gold medal at an invention competition with an app development idea for people with disabilities.
On the 27th, Kim So-hyun posted on Instagram, “Gold medal at the 3rd IT Coding Invention Idea Competition. Thank you to the Chairman of the Happy Job Movement Headquarters. Smart Navigation Platform Son Joo-an,” and added, “I’m sorry I couldn’t attend because of a performance. Congratulations!”
He had previously announced Joo-an's award news through the MBC entertainment program ‘The Manager’ that aired the day before (26th).
The couple, Kim So-hyun and Son Jun-ho, invited their fathers for dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the musical ‘The Last Empress’ in Seoul, and naturally shared Joo-an's recent interests.
They revealed that Joo-an recently developed an invention that uses ultrasonic sensors to recognize parked cars and check for available parking spaces through an app.
Later, Kim So-hyun announced in the studio that the invention actually won a gold medal. She expressed her pride, saying, “The results are out. We won a gold medal. It’s an award given for the idea itself.”
Joo-an has been assessed as a genius in the top 0.1%. He was accepted into POSTECH's Gifted Entrepreneurs Education Center last year.
