Sung Yuri (44), a member of the girl group Fin.K.L, has returned to a home shopping program bearing her name, more than four months after her husband, professional golfer Ahn Sung-hyun (44), was sentenced to prison. She has also resumed her SNS activities.
On the 27th, GS Shop announced that the first broadcast of the program 'Sung Yuri Edition', hosted by Sung Yuri, will take place on the 30th at 9:45 PM.
Sung Yuri Edition is a show that introduces products selected by Sung Yuri, based on the concept of a 'Wannabe Lifestyle' curated store.
According to GS Shop, Sung Yuri will not only host the program but also take on the role of a lifestyle curator, introducing products based on her personal taste and stories, and suggesting new lifestyles. The program is named 'Sung Yuri Edition' to emphasize the trust and value added to the products and brands she selects.
In the first broadcast, they will sell 'Casamuti Cutlery', a tableware brand. Sung Yuri has chosen products from brands she usually enjoys, and she will also share tips for table settings suitable for various meals, including brunch, desserts, Korean cuisine, and Western dishes.
Previously, on the 26th, Sung Yuri resumed her SNS activities by posting a photo of a flower cake on her Instagram story. It is speculated that she received a congratulatory gift ahead of her return to home shopping, and the photo also captured her daughter pointing at the cake, showing support for her mother.
Meanwhile, Sung Yuri married Ahn in 2017 and gave birth to twin daughters in 2022. After giving birth, she returned to broadcasting as the MC of the entertainment show 'Can We Recall After Breakup?', but eventually halted her activities due to allegations surrounding Ahn's involvement in a bribery scandal related to Bithumb's listing. Following this, her exclusive contract with her agency also ended.
Earlier last year, Sung Yuri posted on social media (SNS), "I earnestly pray that the truth about the unfair and difficult things our family is experiencing will be revealed," which sparked some controversy.
