Robert Pattinson from ‘Mickey’ is coming to Korea.
Director Bong Joon-ho's film ‘Mickey 17’ has confirmed its worldwide premiere in Korea on February 28, 2025. This means that ‘Mickey 17’ will be shown to Korean audiences first, ahead of its global release scheduled for March 7.
Additionally, actor Robert Pattinson, who plays ‘Mickey’, is set to visit Korea on the 20th to meet with local media and fans directly, marking the start of global promotional activities for ‘Mickey 17’ in Korea.
Robert Pattinson, who plays the extreme dual roles of Mickey, is making his first visit to Korea. Despite a busy schedule due to filming for his next project, it is said that his strong desire to visit Korea, the home country of director Bong Joon-ho, led to this decision.
After a screening of footage from ‘Mickey 17’, director Bong Joon-ho and Robert Pattinson will meet with the Korean media for a discussion, sharing various stories about ‘Mickey 17’, and they will also meet fans through stage greetings.
‘Mickey’ is a disposable (expendable) character sent on dangerous missions, and as he faces his 17th death, a new ‘Mickey 18’ is printed, leading to unpredictable events. It will have its worldwide premiere on February 28.
