The movie ‘Victory’ has taken over the weekend box office.

According to the data from the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 31st, ‘Victory’ attracted 217,831 viewers the previous day, bringing its total audience count to 700,847. It is undoubtedly in 1st place at the box office.

Released on the 26th, the film depicts the story of Korea's greatest Go legend, Cho Hun-hyun (played by Lee Byung-hun), who challenges the peak once again after losing to his disciple Lee Chang-ho (played by Yoo Ah-in) due to his innate competitive spirit. Despite the risk posed by Yoo Ah-in's drug scandal, the film has maintained its throne for five consecutive days and is enjoying box office success.

In 2nd place is the animated film ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Last Attack’. On the same day, it met with 32,345 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience count to 539,927.

3rd place goes to Bong Joon-ho's ‘Mickey 17’, which attracted 21,341 viewers. Its cumulative audience count stands at 2,959,419.

As of 7:50 AM, the real-time reservation rate shows ‘Lobby’, directed and starring Ha Jung-woo, in 1st place. Following it are ‘Victory’, ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Last Attack’, and ‘I Want to Eat Your Pancreas’.

Meanwhile, Disney's live-action film ‘Snow White’, starring a Latinx actor, has failed at the box office. It quickly fell to the lower ranks domestically and lost the box office 1st place in North America in its second week of release.

According to reports from AP and Hollywood media Variety on the 30th (local time), citing Comscore data and industry estimates, ‘Snow White’ recorded $14.2 million (approximately 20.9 billion KRW) in ticket sales over the weekend (28-30), dropping to 2nd place at the box office. The second weekend revenue plummeted by 66% compared to the first week. Despite a production budget exceeding $250 million (approximately 367.8 billion KRW), it only earned $66.8 million (approximately 98.3 billion KRW) over ten days in 4,200 theaters in North America. The total global revenue, including regions outside North America, stands at around $143.1 million (approximately 210.5 billion KRW), marking a significant box office failure.
